Commonwealth War Graves
There are four Commonwealth War Graves at Coates. Three are of the CWGC headstone style and one is a private memorial. Private Thomas Clifton is buried at Coates but his death occurred after 31st August 1921 and is not officially recognised.
Others from Coates who served are buried elsewhere (see Locations) or, if buried at Coates, they survived the conflict and lived out their lives locally.
I have placed biographies on the dedicated WW1 pages and also on Find a Grave. This page is just a place from which to access that website by clicking on the names under each image.
