Today was the last day (I should think) that I shall spend in Peterborough library during the Easter holidays. I spent 2 hours scanning newspaper articles from 1917 and 1919 and then I spent another 3-4 hours writing down information about Coates soldiers from the 1916 newspaper. I arrived at 1.00 and left at 6.55pm (although that was after a 10-15 minute chat with the librarian) so with a break for a cuppa at about 4.30 I spent some 5 1/2 hours there. I am finding out quite a lot.

Yesterday and today I added more details to the WW2 1943 air crash page
Today I uploaded some images and moved other to different pages. I like Weebly as this is so easy to do.
Although it was not very sunny today (and that can be a blessing if one wants to avoid glare) I popped over to Coates to take some shots of the war memorial. I had been in Peterborough Library for a couple of hours and I went back again later on. The photos will soon be on the relevant page.
I had a good day at Peterborough Library again today. It took me 3 hours to go through all the war pages for June 1917 to December 1917. I managed to do January to June on Saturday. Helpfully the Peterborough Advertiser started to lump together all the snippets of news about each place so I did not have to read all the individual paragraphs. I need to go back and scan the large paragraphs which were too long to write down. There are also a good many photographs of servicemen.
